Dating from the mid 17th Century, these are among the oldest house tiles featured in Azulejos de Lisboa. Many tiles from this period use this navy blue and bright yellow - wise chioces since they are still vivid today. They were most likely produced in Porto, but it is difficult to be certain. These particular tiles were photographed on a house in Braga, in the North of Portugal.
